Finishing 7th in the 23rd season of South Pacific, Edna Ma’s fate was decided early by forming a bond with the returning Benjamin ‘Coach’ Wade after her Upolu tribe felt the need to ignore him. It was a decision that would get her far in the game, a game that turned extremely emotional for the anaesthesiologist.
Despite helping Coach find his feet early on and getting him to be accepted by his tribe, Edna was shocked to discover she was 6th in line in an alliance she thought she was due to finish higher in. After fellow alliance member Brandon spoke his mind and informed Edna she wasn’t really apart of the alliance but simply ‘a number’, Edna rallied hard to try and save herself, only to have her efforts fall short and be sent to redemption island where she would lose to the dominant Ozzy and be sent to the jury.
Edna spoke to us about her emotional time on the show, why she felt she deserved to make it further, her feelings about Brandon & Coach as well as giving some very interesting answers in our famous 5 Questions.
