Billy Garcia Interview

BillyGarciaWebsite Our first contestant from the 13th season in the Cook Islands, Billy Garcia is well known for his tie dye shirts, bandana’s as well as declaring his love for Candice on his voting out. And after being voted out 2nd in the game, Billy still goes on to be one of the most recognised Survivor’s in the history of the show.

With the ‘controversy’ of splitting the tribes by race causing most of the stir on the Cook Islands season, Billy found himself on the ‘latino’  Aitutaki tribe which turned out to hurt him in the long run. Billy was on outs from the start and bore the brunt of his tribes criticism early on. On his final tribal council, a chance encounter with  ‘white’ Rarotonga tribe saw him declare his love for their member Candice in one of the more interesting moments in the history of the show. Billy however didn’t get any love from his tribe and was promptly voted out in 19th place.

In our interview with Billy we speak to him about THAT moment of love declaration, getting recognised still to this day from his time on the show, his movie making career after Survivor as well as the reaction from his friends and family of internationally declaring his love for somebody he barely knew!
