Kelly Bruno Interview

The second ever amputee contestant in the history of the show, Kelly proved to be extremely strong in challenges and physical around camp. Despite this, she never got the best chance to go far in the game and was unlucky not to do so. She still has a lot to say about NaOnka and the way she was voted out, and is a little bit happy that she got more time on screen than Purple Kelly, despite being in the game shorter than she was.

Survivor: Nicaragua

Not afraid to hide her artificial leg from her tribe, she soon became the talking point around camp as many people saw her as getting an easy ‘sympathy vote’ should she make it to the final tribal council. She also made no friends with NaOnka who wasn’t afraid to shove her to the ground and threaten to ‘burn her leg’. Ultimately despite her strength in challenges, Kelly was blindsided before she could really make it deep into the game.

In our chat with Kelly, she talks about going back to medical school since her time on the show, being surprised at how much the show had developed since she last watched it, which two people she bonded with the most that wasn’t really shown on screen, the old/young twist and it working against her, which contestants she remains in contacts, her thoughts on NaOnka and taking a while to get over getting voted out as well as the shock of Fabio winning  and the constant swearing by Jeff Probst!
