Our 18th Ozcap is here, as Ben and his little gang of Ozlets discuss everything to do with the 18th season of Tocantins in true Survivor Oz style!
Regarded as a season somewhat in the middle in terms of it’s greatness, Tocantins attempted to bring back ‘classic Survivor’ by bringing back several older formats to go back to the shows roots. The season was dominated by it’s outlandish characters, particularly that of Benjamin ‘Coach’ Wade, who became a star in his own right with his stories, personality and everything else in between. Another star in J.T was born, as he became the first ever contestant to win a ‘perfect game’ by winning in a unanimous vote over Stephen Fishbach as well as going the whole game without a vote against him and also winning the fan favourite award. In our Ozcap, we talk about how Coach made the season, the thoughts on Survivor adopting the ‘classic’ format again, why there is a distaste for trucks, Troy returning and talking about ‘ageist pricks’, Noah being told to put his balls on, whether or not Spencer was too young for the show, the pronunciation of names and tribes and getting the wrong as well as why Jarryd wants to punch a contestant in the face, which contestant resembles an ice cream and who nearly stabbed themselves with Jeff Probst and his dimples. All this is brought to an end with our Ozcap final questions!
