Survivor Cagayan Power Rankings with Billy Garcia & Kelly Shinn – Week 3

PowerRankingsCagayanBillyKelly

For the 28th season of Cagayan we will be once again bringing you our weekly POWER RANKINGS as Ben & Jarryd rank the contestants each week based on performance and strategy and where they are perceived to be in the game! This season we also welcome two special guest POWER RANKERS with Billy Garcia from Survivor Cook Islands Kelly ‘Purple Kelly’ Shinn joining in the fun and help rank the contestants! We continue our rankings for another week with our episode 4 rankings, which we are sure will cause speculation and debate as we get closer to next weeks episode!

HOW THE RANKINGS ARE CALCULATED

Each week Ben, Jarryd, Billy & Kelly will rank the remaining contestants based their opinion of where they stand in the game, with the four totals being tallied to produce a total score . The lowest total score will be ranked at the top, with the second lowest in second, third lowest in third and so on and so forth. Each week the overall list will be published, separated into three tribes. It will combine into one list once the tribes merge (or two should there be a tribe dissolve).

APARRI RANKINGS

1st – Tony

Tony_thumb1_thumb_thumb

OVERALL: 1st (+1)
BILLY RANK: 1st
KELLY RANK: 3rd
BEN RANK: 1st
JARRYD RANK: 6th

BILLY: “The silver tongued devil is in the driver’s seat again this week. He’s got Sarah totally believing his Faux Plot against her and even swore on his badge to sound more believable. His strategy is to lie, cheat, and steal. The late WWE superstar Eddie Guerrero would be proud….and demanding royalties! Tony is now four deep in his alliance. How long can his lie hold up? Will the merger/swap help or hurt him? Will he quote more pro wrestlers? Only time will tell.”

KELLY: ““Could Tony really make it to the final 3??? I am beginning to wonder!”

BEN: “This season is being edited so well it’s really hard to pick who is getting a ‘winners edit’ right now. Having said that Tony is getting the bulk of airtime and really looks strongly in control on the Brawn. Expect this to change next week with the switch, but I still don’t see him going anywhere fast.”

JARRYD: “Seems to be doing a good job at controlling the Brawn tribe yet doing it through Sarah. He has a lot of ideas and a big mouth so I’m just waiting for that to come back to bite him. Still you can’t argue he’s playing well so far and has Idol protection.”

2nd – Woo

Woo_thumb_thumb_thumb

OVERALL: 2nd (-1)
BILLY RANK: 5th
KELLY RANK: 4th
BEN RANK: 3rd
JARRYD RANK: 3rd

BILLY: “My pick to win it all joined the majority alliance on the Brawn tribe. He’s primed to let Tony play villain and be counted amongst the players with power over the long haul. Even with the tribe merger/swap coming, he’s so likeable that he should still end up in the majority. Am I the only one that hears Bruce Lee in Woo’s accent? I keep expecting Woo to say “My strategy is the art of fighting without fighting.””

KELLY: “Hoping he can fly under the radar to get this far.  If he loses Cliff tho – not sure what will happen.  Hoping for a smooth transition.”

BEN: “The real smokey/dark horse to win this. He isn’t really doing anything wrong and showed some signs that he is willing to sway away from Cliff in order to make it far. Likeable, strong in challenges and social, he is almost the complete package. If he keeps playing this way, he will be a millionaire.”

JARRYD: “Playing a very under the radar type game and given his intentions to sell out Cliff, will do what he needs to do to get to the end but he will be liked. Extremely unassuming and good in challenges. Fabio alert.”

3rd – Trish

Trish_thumb_thumb_thumb

OVERALL: 8th (+3)
BILLY RANK: 12th
KELLY RANK: 6th
BEN RANK: 11th
JARRYD RANK: 5th

BILLY: “As one of floaters this season, Trish is in the majority and is Tony’s perfect pawn. Her game is heavily reliant on still being on a tribe with Tony after the merger/swap. If not, Doh! The Floater becomes a sinker.”

KELLY: “Can’t see her leaving anytime soon after this episode – so 6th seems to be a fitting spot.”

BEN: “Similar to Alexis, I don’t see Trish going far at all. Switch or no switch. She really is just putting along and struggling.”

JARRYD: “Still can’t believe I’m doing this but Trish is going nowhere unless she gets the short stick in next weeks assumed Tribe Switch. Trish is pretty much everything you want in an alliance member – she’s probably not going to beat you in challenges, she’ll rub off on certain people the wrong way, she’ll do what you say, when you say it and isn’t going to pull a lot of Jury votes. Perfect goat?”

4th – Sarah

Sarah_thumb_thumb_thumb

OVERALL: 9th (-6)
BILLY RANK: 9th
KELLY RANK: 14th
BEN RANK: 2nd
JARRYD RANK: 9th

BILLY: “Her whole game is based on a lie. She’s tried to throw a challenge. Lose to win is always dumb. And she’s hooking Tony up with MORE power by bringing in Woo. If Tony wins I hope Sarah at least gets a steak dinner out of it. Speaking of which, Yul still owes me one after hooking him up with the HII back in the Cook Islands. Cheap bastard!”

KELLY: “Attempting to throw a challenge is going to turn around and bite her in the booty.  Plus – they showed too much of her on this episode which makes me suspicious of her fate.”

BEN: “Sarah at number 2 is no reflection on how she is playing. I think she is playing horribly. My ranking is based on her being dragged to the end by Tony and ending up as a FTC goat. Sorry Sarah, you seem like an awesome lady, but I hope you wake up soon and start playing the game and stop being Tony’s lapdog.”

JARRYD: “Dropping lower and lower each week. Playing the game and doing a good job of it yet she’s Tony’s puppet, which will result in one of them being blindsided and I think this will be Sarah. Wanted to throw a challenge… why do people still believe that’s a good idea?”

5th – Lindsey

Lindsey_thumb2_thumb_thumb

OVERALL: 11th (+1)
BILLY RANK: 14th
KELLY RANK: 9th
BEN RANK: 9th
JARRYD RANK: 8th

BILLY: “She sits out too many challenges and isn’t doing a whole lot socially. A change of scenery might help but only if her health improves. Lindsey needs to start fighting or this game could slip away from her sooner than later. I still love the hair though.”

KELLY: “I see her neither at the bottom or top at this point – so I have decided to put her towards the middle.”

BEN: “Not really seeing anything of her which is setting her up for a middle boot or a late boot who will believe she is in a tight alliance when really she was just being dragged along. I want her to prove me wrong and show some spice, as I think there is a lot more Lindsey we need to see.”

JARRYD: “Similar to Trish, she won’t be going anywhere for some time. Hardly heard her say a word, which works in her favour. Non-threatening if she’s on her own and hasn’t shown in the game thus far.”

6th – Cliff

Cliff_thumb1_thumb_thumb

OVERALL: 12th (-5)
BILLY RANK: 6th
KELLY RANK: 13th
BEN RANK: 12th
JARRYD RANK: 10th

BILLY: “Big Cliff dodged a bullet with the failed thrown challenge. He owes J’Tia Basketball tickets in my opinion. He’s so likeable and such a slayer in the challenges that after the tribe merger/swap, he’s going to be the go to guy on his new tribe. I loved the drop to one knee during the free throw part of the immunity challenge. That move won them the challenge. His bank roll may be his undoing eventually though.”

KELLY: “If he is such a threat as they made it seem on episode 3 – then he will be out soon.”

BEN: “There was no reason to attempt to throw a challenge to get rid of Cliff, it was pointless and stupid. Luckily for him they failed, but unlucky for him I can’t see him recovering from this mantra that for some reason he is bad to have around. If he can make it to the merge, then he can easily be a threat. Unfortunately I can’t see him going that far.”

JARRYD: “The target’s on his back yet I’m not sure he knows it. Valuable asset to any tribe and I think he’ll be around a bit longer still – he’s a NBA star and hardly had an edit, CBS wouldn’t cast him just to let him hang around.”

LUZON RANKINGS

1st – Spencer

Spencer_thumb1_thumb_thumb

OVERALL: 5th (+4)
BILLY RANK: 4th
KELLY RANK: 2nd
BEN RANK: 7th
JARRYD RANK: 12th

BILLY: “Is it possible that the challenge monster of this season will come from the brains tribe? Looks like it. In the immunity challenge he carried his inept tribe as much as one person could. He survived Tribal Council because he’s that good. Now with a tribe merger/swap coming, Spencer’s got new life. I expect him to be dangerous and exciting. A chess player in a game of human chess, why hasn’t this happened before?”

KELLY: “If he survived that tribal – he can survive a few more weeks.”

BEN: “This is where Spencer is about to shine. Survived the vote out, and now a switch will make him come into his element and I expect fireworks. Open now for him to become the ‘evil Malcolm’, and I think things are about to get interesting from her on in.”

JARRYD: “Hated him pre-game yet it’s impossible not to feel sorry for him. The Immunity Challenge was a one-man show as he went all out to do his best to remain in the game. The Brains might have lost but his performance saved him. Very handy free agent.”

2nd – Tasha

Tasha_thumb_thumb_thumb

OVERALL: 13th (-3)
BILLY RANK: 2nd
KELLY RANK: 12th
BEN RANK: 14th
JARRYD RANK: 14th

BILLY: “She has control of what’s left of the Brains tribe. With the three tribes merging/swapping into two tribes she can work her game on a bigger tribe with more pawns to play with. She needs to stop overthinking things though. But that’s her only big flaw socially. On a side note, she has the second best boobs this season. Just saying.”

KELLY: “Thinking tribes will switch/merge around this point – at which time Tasha will go.  She is not strong at challenges nor seems to be a true team player.”

BEN: “She is easily going to cause friction on whatever tribe she gets on when she realises that things won’t be going her way like they were with the Brains. If she makes it further than the merge, then call me a Monkey’s Uncle!”

JARRYD: “Next to go. Bossy and indecisive. Partially the reason why the Brains sucked so much. Only a matter of time because she joins J’Tia at losers lodge.”

3rd – Kass

Kass_thumb1_thumb_thumb

OVERALL: 14th ()
BILLY RANK: 13th
KELLY RANK: 10th
BEN RANK: 13th
JARRYD RANK: 13th

BILLY: “Her job is to keep Tasha mentally stable and provide Tasha with her vote so that Tasha can make moves in the game. In other words, Kass is Tasha’s sidekick. Kass’ game is like Natalie was to Boston Rob on Redemption Island with slightly more input though she doesn’t offer up much. Will that give Tasha the win and Kass second place? There’s a long way to go but this could play out that way. Someone should tell Kass that second place means you lost.”

KELLY: “She will be eliminated at this point because of her capabilities to outwit.”

BEN: “Time for Kass no doubt to flip over to somebody else and take someone else for a ride. Sadly though it’s going to catch up with her and I can’t see her making it very far from this point on. All that work for nothing.”

JARRYD: “Very overrated. Complains about Tasha not being able to make decisions yet she can’t make them either. Good insurance to use for several votes before cutting her loose.”

SOLANA RANKINGS

1st – LJ

LJ_thumb1_thumb_thumb

OVERALL: 3rd (+1)
BILLY RANK: 3rd
KELLY RANK: 8th
BEN RANK: 4th
JARRYD RANK: 1st

BILLY: “He has the power on the Beauty tribe but after that reward challenge, women everywhere are crying bloody murder. His family jewels took one brutal hit after another. What good is a pretty face and big muscles when your man parts don’t work because of a Survivor challenge? Poor guy. I’m sure that there are scientists out there looking to improve the pills that address this issue. Women, feel free to donate this sort of pills to the LJ Brutalized Manhood Fund.”

KELLY: “He will be eliminated because Tony will not want to compete against him – & he is a definite physical threat.”

BEN: “I for one am not as impressed with LJ as most as I think he is going about things a little bit too arrogantly and that will bite him later on. But as we head into the switch, he is the clear leader of the Beauty tribe and if he can maintain that then he will easily make it deep into the game.”

JARRYD: “LJ is in the same position as last week so no need to change this. Dominant position in his tribe, key member of a majority alliance, who needs to be kept around by that alliance at this stage to win challenges… oh and he has an Idol to.”

2nd – Alexis

Aleixs_thumb2_thumb_thumb

OVERALL: 4th (+1)
BILLY RANK: 7th
KELLY RANK: 1st
BEN RANK: 10th
JARRYD RANK: 2nd

BILLY: “With Morgan scrambling to save herself, Alexis has gained power over Morgan’s and Jeremiah’s fate. This would mean so much more if not for the impending tribe merger/swap. Still, Alexis has them in a position that could benefit her moving forward. Glad to see that she’s being included in the edit more and more. She’s too cute to see so little airtime.”

KELLY: “Keepin’ this homegirl at the top.”

BEN: “Alexis will be lucky to make the merge. She doesn’t really seem to be doing anymore than relying on others to make it far. Should the switch give her the wrong side of the Beauty numbers, she is doomed.”

JARRYD: “Why can’t she be number two? She is sitting pretty with LJ. She isn’t seen as a threatening player and has sat out of enough challenges to suggest that she isn’t physical. She’ll be around at the business end of the season. ”

3rd – Jefra

Jefra_thumb1_thumb_thumb

OVERALL: 6th ()
BILLY RANK: 10th
KELLY RANK: 5th
BEN RANK: 6th
JARRYD RANK: 4th

BILLY: “She’s not a power player but she’s not in any trouble. Not the most riveting television but there she is. Wearing her hat. You’d think after all of those years wearing a tribal skull t-shirt, I would appreciate the hat but yet somehow I don’t. But there it is. At least that’s reminding us she’s on this season, I guess.”

KELLY: “Losing confidence in Jefra – but still pulling for her!”

BEN: “”We’re hardly seeing any of her but she I feel has some game left in her. A switch is going to help her should she stay with some of the Beauty tribe and I think she can form some tight alliances that can easily make her go past the merge.”

JARRYD: “Similar to Alexis, not going to be threatening and will therefore be kept around because of it. Both have game sense, but Jefra’s accent may start to grate on people. Very likeable.”

4th – Jeremiah

Jeremiah_thumb1_thumb_thumb

OVERALL: 7th (+1)
BILLY RANK: 8th
KELLY RANK: 11th
BEN RANK: 5th
JARRYD RANK: 7th

BILLY: “The episode began with Jeremiah being thrown under the bus for flip flopping on Morgan and Brice. Well who didn’t see that coming? Apparently Jeremiah. He’s in a bit of a pickle. It could get worse with the merger/swap. Morgan could tell everyone of Jeremiah’s previous duel alliance approach to gain power in her new tribe and get revenge. Jeremiah needs to NOT end up on a tribe with Morgan in order to move forward safely.”

KELLY: “His attempts to be extremely strategic are working against him – he definitely has a target on his back and as soon as beauty loses a challenge he will be in the hot seat.”

BEN: “Actually came off from the Bryce vote pretty cleanly, and a switch will help him. Still put him as a good shot at an outside win, but he has to make sure people like Morgan and Alexis aren’t on the jury to bring up past vote outs.”

JARRYD: “Definitely number four in the majority Beauty alliance yet can take the game into his own hands if he plays his cards right. Been admirable in challenges and oozes southern charm.”

5th – Morgan

Morgan_thumb1_thumb_thumb

OVERALL: 10th (+3)
BILLY RANK: 11th
KELLY RANK: 7th
BEN RANK: 8th
JARRYD RANK: 11th

BILLY: “Survivor’s best Boobs ever came back to camp after Tribal Council swinging. She landed some solid shots on Jeremiah by calling him out in front of the tribe for his duel alliance approach and then, spilling her guts in the shelter. Ah, she’s still in this. Morgan’s fighting the good fight. Plus her tribe returned to dominance keeping out of TC this week. Morgan stands to benefit the most from the upcoming merger/swap. She could quickly go from the bottom to the top. Special thanks to the camera man and editor. The work they have both done this season with the great cleavage shots is unparalleled. Best edited Survivor season ever! My season sucked. They blurred out everything!”

KELLY: “She has made it successfully through Episode 3 – thinking she can fly under the radar a few more episodes until people realize she could potentially win the million if she makes it to the final 3.”

BEN: “She may be on the bottom of the Beauty tribe but a switch will save her and she’ll soon end up in a tight alliance. I can see her and Spencer aligning potentially, and I think people will easily underestimate her as she is getting a very strong edit and is being seen more far more than anyone ever thought she would. And as always I’m bias with my money riding on her and my fandom of all things Morgan. But hey, I’m allowed to be right?!”

JARRYD: “Poor Morgan needs to get over the fact Jeremiah screwed her over and move on. You can’t hold a grudge on Survivor from this early on because it’s not beneficial for you. I think she has the ability to persuade people with her looks which will work in her favour post-switch. Doing better than I expected.”

8 Comments on Survivor Cagayan Power Rankings with Billy Garcia & Kelly Shinn – Week 3

  1. Good stuff. I bet a few rankings would change looking at the previews for next week, hehe

  2. It’s a pity we can’t talk about the extra previews that have been doing the rounds. And it’s not as if it’s a huge spoiler, ’cause that’s gonna be happening very early in the episode. How fun would it be to speculate about the character’s changed fortunes before the episode happened?

  3. *skipped kelly’s opinion* based on the preview for the tribe swap the teams are:
TONY, WOO, LINDSEY, TRISH, CLIFF, JEFRA, LJ then
JEREMIAH, MORGAN, ALEXIS, SARAH, KASS, TASH, SPENCER

    😦

  4. RANK IMO-
BRAWN: Tony, Sarah, Woo, Trish, Lindsey, Cliff
    BRAINS: Tash, Kass, Spencer
BEAUTY: LJ, Alexis, Jeremiah, Jefra, Morgan

TIP TO WIN- LJ, Spencer, Tony

NEXT TO BE BOOTED: Morgan or Cliff

    DARKHORSE- Kass or Tash

  5. as always, the scaterred brains tribe ranking is a mess lmao! i hope the merge is soon, the more the merrier! LJ FTW!

  6. Another solid episode, love the reward and immunity challenges. I hope LJ and Spencer’s babymaker is fine lol! ❤

  7. Like Kass used to say: i wanna see the criteria as well on hiring Purple Kelly for this job. Seriously? I would never recommend a quitter to do the ranking ever. only my opinion.

  8. Trish should be high up next week! 🙂
