We’re back for another exit interview today as we chat to the second contestant eliminated from Survivor San Juan Del Sur Val Collins! We also bring you a full episode preview of episode 3, as Noah Groves sits down and takes a look at what you can expect from tomorrow’s episode of the 29th season! Click below for more!
After being eliminated from last weeks episode, Val Collins sat down with Ben to talk about how things have calmed down for her in the last week since her episode aired, how badly her time on Exile Island affected her game, just how disorganised her tribe was and the truth behind saying she had two idols instead of one and how it was portrayed differently on screen.
Each week with our exit interviews we will also bring you a preview of the upcoming episode, as your favourite Ozlet Noah Groves sits down and gives his thoughts on what you can expect from the show tomorrow!
It is now time to bring back a new feature as I preview what is to come in the next episode airing tomorrow. These previews will use the ‘next time on Survivor,’ commercials, Survivor Live extended preview, deleted scenes and events that happened in the previous episode to look forward and see what is in store for us. Please note that only details learnt in the previously stated list will be discussed, if you consider things like what the challenge will be or who is competing in the dual and hints at people’s actions as a spoiler then you should avoid this feature. In saying that, absolutely no boot spoilers will be stated if somehow CBS slips up but the next voted out will be speculated on.
So what do we have in store for Survivor: San Juan Del Sur episode 3, ‘Actions and Accusations’?
Let’s begin with the Hero Arena exile dual. Based on the press release pictures released weekly, this dual seems to involve transporting objects on a paddle and stacking or placing said objects on a finish bench. It looks as if it is Keith and Wes going head to head in the dual this week. Unless the pictures of both of them holding paddles in a challenge is from immunity, but that is doubtful. Keith could be the first person to visit Exile Island twice this season but based on the results of last week’s Hero Arena challenge, anything can happen! If it is in fact not Keith and Wes competing in the challenge then we can at least rule out Natalie, Jeremy, Rocker and Julie as potential competitors.
If you think back to the premier episode you will remember Drew and his cockiness regarding the shelter ‘he’ built and Julie’s hilarious confessional regarding it. During the “previously on Survivor” segment of episode 2 this was highlighted again. Also during episode 2 we had the comment from Jeremy that Drew is like a cartoon character and the shot during the challenge where Drew confused Josh and Reed’s names. In the Survivor Live extended preview from last week we saw a whole scene dedicated to Drew being lazy and him sleeping while everyone works around camp. From the confessionals it seems like Hunahpu is growing tired of Drew. If you have been paying attention you will notice that Drew isn’t receiving the most flattering edit and this new scene only adds to it. I wouldn’t be shocked at all if Drew is the next person voted out based on all that we have seen so far.
In a challenge preview video, challenge producer John Kirhoffer introduced a brand new challenge ‘Game of Throw Ins.’ The immunity challenge is a cross between a regular Survivor basketball challenge and the tied together Chet and Joel challenge from Micronesia. It’s going to be all sorts of fun watching tribe members being tied up together and I certainly don’t envy the person who has to be tied to the hulk Rocker, please let it be Dale! Hopefully Coyopa can take the win on this one so we can finally see some more dynamics from Hunahpu. Kirhoffer confidently states that he thinks this challenge will become a Survivor classic and will be used once again in the future. It is always nice to see new challenges 29 seasons into the show!
In what is sure to be a huge focus in episode three, the “next time on Survivor” segment and a subsequent web promo focus exclusively on John Rocker. The preview for next week showed Hunahpu discussing and learning about Rocker’s past career, leading to everyone in the game now knowing the truth. We also see Rocker wanting to fight someone from Coyopa and everyone in the game erupting into chaos. The web promo extends on this, solidifying that it will be a major part of the episode. Is this all overblown or will Rocker really go off his Rocker and attempt to fight someone? Will he be able to survive through tomorrow’s episode? At the end of episode 1 we were treated with a “coming up this season on Survivor” segment where we saw Rocker claiming he would have fought one of the women. It can’t be distinguished if this is at the same time as his upcoming challenge outburst or if Rocker has plenty more up his sleeve.
Speaking of the end of episode 1 sneak peak, it hasn’t been confirmed if anything else will show up in episode 3. We have yet to see the quitter, Jon wanting to burn someone’s idol, Julie feeling deceived by Jon/John? and Keith exclaiming that he has done the worst thing in Survivor history. Hopefully we can tick some of these off our list after tomorrow’s episode.
Episode 3 ‘Actions and Accusations’ will air Wednesday night 8pm EST on CBS in the United States and Thursday at 9:30 PM AEDST on channel Go! in Australia.
Our thanks must go out to CBS and Channel 9 for arranging these exit interviews for us. Be sure to check back in next week as we bring you the next eliminated contestant on the show as well as previewing the next episode and showing off more secret scenes and episode previews! Remember if you have a question for the contestant eliminated get it into us and we may choose it as the question to put to them during next weeks interview! Bring on the next episode!
