We’re back for another exit interview today as we chat to the ninth contestant eliminated from Survivor San Juan Del Sur Jeremy Collins! We also bring you a full episode preview of episode 10, as Noah Groves sits down and takes a look at what you can expect from tomorrow’s episode of the 29th season! Click below for more!
After his elimination from the ninth episode, Jeremy Collins sat down with Ben to talk about Ben’s curse of liking people and wanting them to win and why Jeremy now has two shows that aren’t allowed to root for him, the absolute shock of the blindside and whether or not he has recovered, talking up Missy and her chances to win as well as the others left in the game, talking about his not taking of Survivor episodes in the past and whether or not he is happy he beat Val in Survivor and how he would’ve done against her had they played together on the same tribe.
Each week with our exit interviews we will also bring you a preview of the upcoming episode, as your favourite Ozlet Noah Groves sits down and gives his thoughts on what you can expect from the show tomorrow!
It is now time to bring back a new feature as I preview what is to come in the next episode airing tomorrow. These previews will use the ‘next time on Survivor,’ commercials, Survivor Live extended preview, deleted scenes and events that happened in the previous episode to look forward and see what is in store for us. Please note that only details learnt in the previously stated list will be discussed, if you consider things like what the challenge will be or who is competing in the dual and hints at people’s actions as a spoiler then you should avoid this feature. In saying that, absolutely no boot spoilers will be stated if somehow CBS slips up but the next voted out will be speculated on.
So what do we have in store for Survivor: San Juan Del Sur episode 10, ‘This is Where We Build Trust’?
Let’s start with the challenges. Make sure to check the Survivor Facebook page or the CBS website for a challenge preview video that is normally uploaded after this preview is. Little is known of the reward challenge but we are once again squaring off in two teams. Can we not have an individual reward challenge? Especially as this is the final nine. Anyways, the challenge takes place in the middle of the ocean in a Wipe out looking platform course. Other than that, nothing else has been shown on this other than it looks like puzzle pieces are back but at least this time they have to run and jump to collect them. The endurance challenge is back for immunity as the tribe members have to hold onto a pole with their hands above their head for as long as possible. What makes this challenge more exciting to look forward to, the return of Jeff tempting the castaways with food items. That is always fun! I won’t even speculate on who wins immunity, but more on that later!
The Survivor Live sneak peek picks up directly after the last tribal council. Right off the bat we have Keith claiming he is dumb and confused on the vote. This isn’t good news and will probably either mean Keith goes home or makes some sort of notable presence in the episode. No one gets multiple confessionals in the cold open for any reason, especially after being on the quite side last week. After Keith’s appearance we hear from Reed who is pretending to be with his old alliance and telling them to stay cool even when he confesses in confessional he doesn’t know which we he will go. One thing Reed does refer to is the possibility of voting out Jon. I suspect this will be a major part of the upcoming episode and based on the last two vote outs, I wouldn’t be surprised if Jon did actually go. Reed has reinvented (Reed-invented?) himself so much that he is probably the one person who won’t leave in the episode. Based entirely on this pre title sequence I would say the two major targets and focus this week will be Keith and Jon.
It’s now time to rank every contestant in order of who is most likely to win based mostly on the edit with gameplay as well. Unlike the power rankings which can also be ranked based on week to week performances and immediate futures this is solely chance of winning and is not necessarily where they currently stand or the order in which I think they will be booted. So someone who is ranked low could still become a third placer. This section is placed higher than usual for reasons explained below. This week with Jeremy’s shock vote out, Jon moved to the top based on him having the most substantial and consistent edits, Missy moves in to second place with a fair chance at winning, despite being a questionable player Keith is in third based on the unpredictable nature of the season and large edit. Jaclyn and Baylor make it to fourth and fifth despite probably not being the winners, Alec and Wes remain at the bottom and Reed moves up one place ahead of Natalie.
The following discussion may contain what is considered spoilers. All the information comes directly from CBS and will not reveal at all who is voted out rather than events that will take place. You have been warned!
So every promo this week decided to show scenes from tribal council, which means we know who the winner will be of the immunity challenge, unless somehow this footage is from another tribal. From what we can see, and don’t say you haven’t been warned but the people who are shown without an immunity necklace are: Keith, Jon, Jaclyn, Missy, Reed, Natalie, Alec and Baylor. That’s means, although this can’t be confirmed until the episode airs, that Wes wins immunity meaning we won’t have an anticlimactic Wesley vote and the possibility is open for both a Keith and Jon vote out. The other piece of information that CBS has revealed is that one of the hidden immunity idols will be played. It will be fascinating to see just who it will be, although I am betting on Keith. Either way this should be a crazy tribal council to follow up last week.
Crazy is a one word to describe this episode, from what we can take away from the promos for this upcoming episode anyway. It seems like Alec of all people is playing both sides and Reed may be jumping ship. Jon looks to be a target from both sides and Natalie doesn’t know who to trust. In the ‘next time on Survivor’ segment from last week Natalie is digging for an idol and wants to give Jon “a taste of his own medicine.” I have said previously that this season reminds me of Nicaragua the way in which there are no solid alliances and I truly believe this trend will continue for the remaining five episodes of the season. What a fun and unpredictable game!
Episode 10 ‘This is Where We Build Trust’ will air Wednesday night 8pm EST on CBS in the United States and Thursday at 9:30 PM AEDST on channel Go! in Australia.
Our thanks must go out to CBS and Channel 9 for arranging these exit interviews for us. Be sure to check back in next week as we bring you the next eliminated contestant on the show as well as previewing the next episode and showing off more secret scenes and episode previews! Remember if you have a question for the contestant eliminated get it into us and we may choose it as the question to put to them during next weeks interview! Bring on the next episode!
