Carolyn Rivera left the 30th season of Worlds Apart as one of the stars of the season and our interview with her goes to show why. A strong strategic, social and physical player she managed to find herself right at the end where she wasn’t able to get more than one vote towards winning the game. Added to this the disappointment of narrowly returning for Cambodia and it’s safe to say Carolyn has plenty of reason to not be happy during her time on Survivor. But as she sits down and talks with us, she has plenty to discuss and remember as one of the best times of her life.
Carolyn was thrust into game mode from day one as she fought for survival and found an idol at the very beginning. Through strong strategy, great social skills and challenge dominance she made it all the way to the end of the game where she was unlucky not to get more votes at the final tribal council and finished as the seasons co runner-up.
In our chat with Carolyn she talks about applying for the show and how close she got to being on prior to this season, why she felt like a target straight away, why Max and Shirin snubbed her early on in the game, the threat of other tribes throwing challenges, her challenge ability and why it felt great to win so many challenges, her relationship with Rodney and what really happened with any ‘deals’ about giving up a reward as well as giving her take on that infamous Will v Shirin fight and just how she dealt with the finale after it brought so much disappointment.
