Survivor has a long history of twists, many which are cruel and destroy a persons game. But the one in Palau which saw two people eliminated before the game even started has to go down as the cruellest of them all. One of those two people eliminated was Wanda Shirk, who despite lasting all of 10 minutes in the first episode still went down as one of the most memorable contestants of all time as the ‘singing Survivor’. She still holds her experience in high regard and very nearly came back for a second time. And do you think we would get her on the show without having her sing?

Wanda got to spend a couple of days with her fellow tribe mates, but in a cruel twist there was a ‘tribal pick ‘em’ scenario that saw the last 2 people left standing after 18 people were chosen eliminated. Unfortunately for Wanda, she was one of those two left standing, and was sent home without even being part of a tribe.

In our chat with Wanda, she speaks about being part of the ‘19 club’, her friendship with other contestants, thinking she did a great job early on in the game, beating Stephenie in the first challenge, Jonathan’s reaction from being eliminated from the show, which other seasons she applied for and if she would’ve faired better on those seasons, being asked back for another season and why she didn’t go back, the reaction from her friends and family during her boot episode as well as talking about her busy life since her time on the show as well as which contestant she would love to look at all day.
