Katie Gallagher Interview

Katie Gallagher is certainly no stranger when it comes to fans in the Survivor world. The runner-up from Palau, she has a strong a passionate fan base who have been crying out for an interview with her ever since we started this show. Well the wait is now over and it’s certainly worth it, as what you are about to hear is not only the second longest interview we’ve ever done, but easily one of the most entertaining, informative and funniest interviews to come from Survivor Oz. Make sure you set yourself a spare 100 minutes, as you’re about to have your mind blown.

Katie was quick to from an alliance with the dominant members of Koror in Ian and Tom and also remained close with Gregg and Jenn, meaning she was never in any danger as long as Koror kept winning. She found herself being part of some of the biggest moves of the season and landed at the final tribal council, where an unfortunate evening ensued and she came nowhere close to Tom, only gaining one vote from Coby on her way to a runner-up finish.

In our chat with Katie, she talks about ‘pathetic’ players such as Gregg before saying how along with Tom they are the greatest guys she knows, mentioning Tom at the old folks home, why she was a massive Survivor fan before and how she planned every single detail before she played, how close she came to being on Africa, working out exact phrases to tell people if asked to be in an alliance, her journal she kept before the game and what it was about, who was the ‘worm woman’ from the start, picking Tom from an early part of the game and why she connected with Ian before the game started, her illness after the game and how it nearly killed her and how she came close with Jenn, her nephew being the reason she was on Survivor, talking about some interesting stories with rats and why certain Survivor contestants resembled them as well as THAT final tribal council, putting off the cameramen and what was referred to as a ‘giant muppets cock’ among many other things!
