Hunter Ellis Interview

For somebody who hasn’t been on Survivor in over a decade, Hunter certainly remains extremely popular since his time on the Marquesas. As somebody who Jeff Probst constantly mentions as an ideal returnee, he has kept busy over the last decade with numerous TV shows and is currently a morning anchor on a breakfast TV show. But does he still get recognised from his time on Survivor? Where does he keep his Emmy? And just how many times has he been asked back?

Hunter started off strong and was tipped as one of the people who would win the entire season. However after his ally Patricia was voted out he found himself in trouble, and thanks to the sneaky moves of Boston Rob, Hunter was blindsided in a shock result.

In our chat with Hunter, he talks about knowing his season wasn’t shown in Australia, how Boston Rob ‘got the best of him’, the amount of times he has been called back and why he hasn’t gone back, having people coming up to him still and telling him he was ‘screwed’, why going to the Marquesas ‘saved’ the season, thinking if he was on Rotu he would’ve won, how he knew Rob had voted for him and he was going home, his TV career post Survivor as well as recently interviewing Jeff Probst, why Peter was voted out and saving the life of a man off the coast of San Diego.
